We will be doing this in first grade as well. It's a great site for students to choose books to listen to. Some of the students wanted me to tell Mom or Dad how to use it at home. All you do is go to the Community Library's website at
http://community.lib.oh.us/services/services.php?id=2 then click on Tumblebooks on the left, then you can click on any of the ovals. We normally do the red Story Books one. They especially enjoy the Robert Munsch books. Let me know if it does't work for you for some reason. They also love www.starfall.com for some literacy practice. Book OrdersOrdering books through Scholastic has never been easier! You can now order online or you may still send your orders to school with your child. Books that are ordered on line or through paper sent in to class will be delievered directly to school! Ordering books through Scholastic earns our classroom points which in turn earns us free books for the classroom and online orders earn a free book for parents and our class for each order placed. Take a look and let us know if you have any questions! Ask your child's teacher for more info.
